Two siblings, one Ironman, in memory of our cousin Daisy.

"Don't ever stop smiling, because when the smile you always knew is taken away from you, you only wish you smiled more."
Daisy Strange · 1995 to 2020
Daisy was our cousin. Fiercely determined, brave, and someone who always put others first. Her battle with cancer led to a 16-hour surgery to reconstruct her tongue. For a talented athlete, teacher, and foodie, the personal cost was immeasurable.
Yet, in the middle of all that, Daisy's only thought was gratitude. She estimated her care at The Royal Marsden cost £200,000, and she desperately wanted to help cover those costs for others. Today, we're fundraising to fulfil her wish.

— On why he's doing this
[Your paragraph goes here. A few sentences on what Daisy meant to you, why you're doing this, and what it means to be doing it with Lucy. Three or four lines is plenty. Don't try to write a eulogy. Just say the thing.]

Cervia beach start
Wetsuit on, salt water, one big rectangular loop in the Adriatic. Calm flat sea on a good day. Choppy on a bad one.
Salt Pans & Sangiovese
Out of T1 along the promenade. First half heads inland past the salt-pan nature reserve, pink flamingos optional but expected.
Bertinoro climb
The "Balcony of Romagna". A short, sharp climb through vineyards, then a long downhill and flat back into Cervia for T2.
The marathon
Three pancake-flat loops along the coast through Cervia and Milano Marittima. Past the historic salt warehouse on every lap. Last 200m is the bit you remember.
